Medicare is a joke .. a joke financially breaking the US government. When I discovered what Medicare Part A & Medicare Part B actually were & what they cost vs. the benefits .. I was shocked.
Medicare is worthless unless you are hospitalized long term / nursing home .. or take cancer meds.

Baby Boomer Social Security Income Benefits: Retire as early as age 62 with reduced SS income benefits or full SS income benefit at age 66. For each year of early retirement social security benefits are reduced. Early retirement results in reduced income / click for the US Government web site on Social Security retirement income by age. This Social Security Retirement Income table applies to everyone born between 1943 & 1954 .. all baby boomers.

Total Social Security retirement income $s received is equal at 77.. no matter retirement age. Early retirees living past age 77 will receive fewer total social security retirement income $s than those waiting until age 66.
This social security income benefit table does not take into account the time value of money .. or compound interest. Add in 6% compound interest & the break even age is over 78 for social security income benefits.
