Medicare is a joke. When I discovered what Medicare Part A & Medicare Part B were & what they cost / benefits were .. I was shocked.
If you are a 300 pound smoker with donut glaze on your bingo card .. sign up .. = unless you are real (REAL) sick, opt out.

Medicare Part A, Medicare B & Medicare Part D
Medicare's primary expense is long term care of 300# smokers with donut glaze on their bingo card. Even if you have private health insurance RETIRED PERSONS are required by SS law (even if you have private insurance) to pay a $1300. senior citizen tax. |
Medicare Part A covers hospitalization & nursing home internment. Medicare part A is offered at no charge.
Part A is of little use for a healthy retiree.
Part A mostly benefits the extreme aged & 300 pound cigarette smokers.. people who all but live in the hospital (90 days per period + for-ever long term bed pan care)
Combine all of my immediate family (mother, father, brother & self) .. not a total of 90 days hospitalization.
If I need to be in the hospital for 90 days .. shoot me!
I've been ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) at 2 corporate nursing homes in Texas .. no way, Jose!
Part A is the real killer expense bankrupting America .. once in the hospital / nursing home all expenses to the corporation (meds, diagnostics, doctors, surgeries) are paid by medicare.
Medicare Part B is $1250. per year senior citizen tax & is mandatory for all retired persons over 65.
All US retires must enroll in Medicare part B & pay the $1250. senior citizen tax or you will be financially penalized / = fined.
Don't believe me? Call the Social Security Administration: 800 772-1213 (do not speak, only push / punch the "operator' key .. over & over ..)
Are retirees required to pay for Medicare part B. $1250 per year or be financially penalized / fined.
Part B has a premium + the initial deduction of $162 = $1300. + out of pocket before any benefit is secured.
You must spend $1500 per year to get even $1 of benefit.
'Approved medical procedures' is a bitch .. some high school drop out federal adjuster can dictate your doctor's 'approved medical plan'.
Part D: Covers generic medications, paying a 300% premium to the politically contributing pharmaceutical companies.
If you need name brand or non-generic coverage you will need a private insurance plan.
I personally purchase my medications at licensed pharmacies outside the US at 1/2 to 1/3 US costs. & get my dental done on the same trip.
Any lobbyist that says Ely Lilly medications purchased outside the US are inferior quality is lying! Many prescriptions meds sold in the US are actually manufactured outside the US.
The 300% mark up granted to contributing pharmaceutical lobbyist is criminal .. or it should be
AARP is under criminal investigation for questionable Medicare Supplement business practices.
"AARP Medicare Supplement" is a hard core tele-marketing sales.
Try to get an answer for a question that is not on the AARP sales script.
Many of the deductible & co-pay aspects of Medicare are covered by private insurance supplemental plans
Several private for profit companies fill this coverage.
Cost is from $35 per month to
Deductible is about 1/3 up to $2200 then you pay 100%
Unless your medications are over $1260 per year you lose!
